NaVCIS Freight recently held a training day at BPW Leicester. The event was aimed at continuing to bridge the gap between policing and industry through building stronger partnerships.

There was an excellent turn out on the day, with an audience made up of a wide range of businesses and interested parties who remained engaged and enthusiastic throughout. Atendees had travelled from far and wide and NaVCIS were particularly delighted to welcome colleagues from Police Scotland who had travelled to Leicester especially for the event.

During the session, the assembled group heard inputs from operational policing and industry experts.

Head of NaVCIS, DCI Brett Mallon, said: “We’re really pleased with the turnout. It’s a great opportunity to bring people together from right across the freight and policing spectrum and discuss actionable methods for reducing freight crime, protecting cargo and keeping drivers safe”

Speakers on the day included The Road Haualage Association, TT Club, Maple Security, DHL Supply Chain, Northumbria Police and The British Parking Association.
